This year I have decided to sell some beautiful Poppy brooches and also a Stratton Poppy Powder Compact, and give 50% of the proceeds to the British Legion Poppy Appeal, which will total a nice round £100 when all is done.

So, here they are:-

The first brooch is from the famous Bradford Exchange and is the genuine original design made of 18kt Gold plated metal with a black crystal centre and brilliant red enamel petals. The signature for The Bradford Exchange is three initials stamped on the reverse – BGE. A gorgeous statement piece, which retailed around £80 originally and is for sale in my Etsy shop for £60.

The second and fourth poppies are identical except for the different names inscribed on the reverse. These are 926 Sterling Silver with dark red enamel and were hand-crafted for individual people whose names are inscribed on the reverse, back in 2010 and 2014. These are £30 each.

The third brooch is the famous Kleshna Art Deco Collection brooch designed back in 2014, as part of a follow-up collection from designer Kleshna Handel, after her first successful Poppy Appeal designs sold out the previous year. This sold for around £60 but the designer came under a little bit of fire for only donating 10% of the money to the British Legion at that time. I have this one priced at £40.

The last photo is my vintage 1980s Stratton Powder Compact with the poppy design on the lid. A lovely collectible compact in really great condition with an unused sifter and a new powder puff inside. This pretty compact is £40. Please pass on this link to anyone you might think to be interested…and wear your poppy with pride !!
